Starting my Clean Beauty journey by replacing the shampoo and conditioner I just finished. 🌿 This @seedphytonutrients shampoo is 93% all natural ingredients and smells amazing!! Organic Meadowfoam Seed oil provides deep hydration while Chestnut Extract provides protection from sun damage. It’s also full hydrating and smoothing butters like Shea and Mango. 🌿 The conditioner is vegan and 98% natural. Similar hydrating ingredients to the shampoo. The texture is amazing and gave my hair lots of shine. 🌿 Not only is this good for me but they’re good for the environment. The other cool thing is the packaging is a paper bottle made from 100% recycled materials and uses 60% less loads than regular shampoo bottles.

I was tagged by @theladyprefers2save to share my bedroom space! I’m not quite a minimalist but also don’t like a lot of clutter in the bedroom. A huge part of my self care is having my bedroom feel like an luxurious oasis. A pink oasis but of course! 💖 After a do my nightly skincare rituals, I sit in bed and read for about two hours before lights out. My current To Be Read list is always on my nightstand. As well as my favorite lip treats, which is the last thing I do before turning the lights out. That and moisturize my hands and body (the top drawer of my nightstand is filled with all my body creams) 💖 My fragrance collection is proudly displayed on my dresser as they’re like little jewels and treasures to me! 💖 I’d love to see your spaces too so post them and tag me!!

This pic is from last year but it has very important significance to today (please keep reading) 💖 Today I’m celebrating one year of sobriety. While I didn’t have a drinking problem, I probably drank more than I needed to. My choice to quit drinking a year ago was to support a family member who was struggling and wound up in rehab. While they’ve struggled a bit more over the past year, they are thankfully back on track. 🦄 I haven’t really missed drinking but there has been days where stress and depression have made me wish I could reach for a bottle of wine or champagne. Instead I’ve been doing a lot of comfort eating. Obviously, I’m still trying to learn new coping techniques. 💖 So now, looking forward to another year of sober living, I’m going to start focusing on 100% clean living. I need to get back to handling stress through exercise and meditation. I need to get back to eating foods that nourish my body. I want to be more aware of what I put in AND on my body. Hence, the fact that I’ll be starting my clean beauty journey as well. 🦄 The past year has definitely brought more self confidence, self awareness and self love but there is always more work to be done.
