If you have been following my blog for awhile, you will know that I have dry and very sensitive skin. You may also know that I have suffered with Eczema for years. Eczema can be painful, itchy and uncomfortable. A few years ago, I really made the connection to how certain foods would cause my Eczema to flare up, as well as I started to take a really close look at the products I was using.
What is Clean Beauty & Why It’s Important?
I found that it wasn’t really so much the TYPE of products that I was using, but what was IN those products. By that I mean, it was not the type of cleanser I was using, but it was the ingredients in that cleanser. I started to really do some research on ingredients and Eczema (as well as other skin issues/disorders) and decided to try a Clean Beauty routine. I threw out all of my products that were not clean and had toxic or sensitivity causing ingredients.
After years of research and through my own trial and error, I have found a Clean Beauty routine is super important for healthy skin. Since going “clean” my skin has never looked better and I have not had one Eczema flare up in years. If you want to learn more about why I think Clean Beauty is so important, check out this blog post on “What is Clean Beauty and Why It Is So Important”
Part of the reason I started this blog was to share my knowledge and experience in the worlds of Beauty and Wellness. Since going “clean” it has been my mission to share my knowledge of the Clean Beauty world with y’all. It is my hope that these posts will be a useful resource for those looking to transition to Clean Beauty. So I thought I would share a few Clean Beauty brands I have discovered along the way.
This is in no way an in-depth listing of all the Clean Beauty brands on the market. When I started my journey, there were very few 100% Clean Beauty brands out there. I have seen this market grow considerably in just the past year, so I will continue to update this listing as I discover new brands. If you are a Clean Beauty brand and would love for me to try, review and share your products, please email for collaboration details. If you are a Clean Beauty lover like me and have a brand you love that is not on the list, please let me know.
I would also like to say that I have pretty strict guidelines to what makes a brand “clean” and I do not buy into greenwashing tactics that most brands are currently using. I look at and study ingredients and how they effect the skin. Read more about greenwashing on this blog post here.
Clean Beauty Brands
Each link listed will take you directly to that brand’s website. In addition I have listed stores where you can commonly find these brands. Now, I have not tried every single product from every single brand. If you come across a brand/product listed that does not seem to be 100% clean, please let me know so I can research and remove/edit as needed. Thank you for your assistance.
