In today’s Self Love Unicorn Podcast 🦄 (see below) I’m talking about how to end Emotional Eating. How we treat and accept our bodies is a huge part of our self love journey.
The past year and a half has been full of ups and downs, but mostly downs. I’ve dealt with a lot of stress, anxiety and depression. Drinking a glass of wine at the end of the day used to be one of my stress relievers. When I quit drinking, I turned to food. I would self medicate with sweets: cupcakes, candy, cookies and more.
As I continue on my self love and clean living journey I’m focusing more on intuitive eating. Listening to what my body really needs, to eating mindfully and focusing on foods that nourish my body. Sometimes that’s a salad and sometimes that actually is allowing myself to eat the damn cupcake.
Im also focusing more on addressing the root cause of the emotions instead of letting food be an emotional band aid. I’m going back to activities that I used to do to relieve stress like meditation and exercise. Im slowly getting back to finding my inner unicorn magic!
